Welcome to Atlas, a digital marketplace connecting micro-sellers, hobbyists, independent creators, and buyers of handmade and original products. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.


 

1. REGISTRATION & USER ACCOUNTS

1.1 Eligibility
Users must be 18 years or older to create an account, make purchases, or sell on the platform.

1.2 Account Creation
You must provide accurate, complete, and updated information during registration.

1.3 User Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials.
You are responsible for all activities under your account.
Impersonating others or providing false information is prohibited.

1.4 Profile Behaviour
Atlas reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate community guidelines or Terms.


 

2. BUYING & SELLING ON ATLAS

2.1 Marketplace Platform
Atlas acts as a facilitator between buyers and independent micro-sellers. Ownership of products remains with the respective sellers.

2.2 Seller Eligibility
Only individuals or micro-businesses selling handmade, original, or small-batch crafted items can sell on Atlas. (As described in the company vision and policies. )

2.3 Dropshipping Policy
Strictly prohibited.
Any seller found dropshipping, reselling mass-produced items, or misrepresenting products will be immediately removed from the platform.

2.4 Seller Content Rules
Sellers must:

Provide accurate product descriptions.
Upload authentic images of their own creations.
Display correct prices and stock availability.

Sellers may not:

Upload stock images or pictures copied from other creators.
Misrepresent quality, size, colour, or materials.

 

3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS & ALLOWED VARIATIONS

Because Atlas supports handcrafted, small-batch creators, buyers acknowledge and agree that minor variations will occur.

3.1 Acceptable Variations (Not Eligible for Refunds/Returns)

The following natural differences are not considered defects:

Slight colour variation
Minor size differences
A missing bead or small design irregularity
Slightly blunt or unfinished edges (e.g., canvas edges)
Minor hand-made imperfections

These minor disparities are normal and do not qualify for refunds, returns, or replacements.

3.2 Unacceptable Variations (Eligible for Refunds/Returns)

Refund/return will be issued only if the product is:

Defective
Damaged
Completely different from the product description
A completely different item than what was ordered
Significantly misrepresented

 

4. ORDERING, PAYMENT & PLATFORM FEES

4.1 Placing an Order
Once an order is placed, it is forwarded to the seller for processing.

4.2 Payment
Payments are collected via authorized third-party payment gateway ie. Razorpay.

4.3 Platform Fees
A small platform fee may be charged to buyers per order.

4.4 Seller Commission
Atlas will not charge a commission for the first 3 months of its operations and will start charging 15% commission on sale of every product from the 4th month onwards. Sellers will be informed about the commissions before the 15% commission starts getting charged.


 

5. DELIVERY, SHIPPING & FAILED DELIVERY

5.1 Delivery Responsibility
Orders are shipped by partnered delivery services ie. Shiprocket. Delivery timelines vary based on seller location and courier operations.

5.2 If Delivery Is Not Completed or Buyer Rejects Delivery
If the order is:

Not delivered due to incorrect address
Buyer refuses or denies delivery
Buyer is unavailable/does not collect the order

Then the buyer will receive a partial refund, calculated as:

Item cost refunded
Delivery fee NOT refunded
RTO (Return To Origin) charges deducted

 

6. RETURNS, REFUNDS & REPLACEMENTS

6.1 When Returns/Refunds Are Allowed

A return/refund will be accepted only if:

The item is damaged
The item is defective
The item is completely different from what was described or shown
A wrong item was sent

6.2 When Returns/Refunds Are NOT Allowed

Returns/refunds will NOT be granted for:

Slight colour, shape, or size differences
Minor handmade variations
Beads or small decorative elements missing
Handmade imperfections
Change of mind or buyer’s personal preference
Incorrect address or failure to collect delivery

6.3 Evidence Required

Customers must submit:

Photos/videos of the issue within 48 hours of delivery
Original packaging images
Unboxing video (where applicable)

6.4 Processing Time

Refunds typically take 7–14 business days after approval.


 

7. SELLER POLICIES & PENALTIES

7.1 Warnings & Bans
Atlas uses a 3-warning system for sellers:

Warning Criteria (Up to 3 warnings allowed):

Seller uploads highly edited or non-original images
Seller provides a product that is slightly different from their listed image due to skill differences
Product description and actual product differ in minor ways

After 3 warnings, the seller will be banned permanently.

Immediate Ban (Zero Tolerance Offenses):

A seller will be instantly banned if:

They send products completely different from listing images
They scam buyers with fake items
They dropship mass-produced items
They repeatedly misrepresent their products
They use others’ photos or plagiarized designs
They intentionally deceive buyers

These actions are treated as serious fraud and result in instant removal.


 

8. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users may not engage in:

Fraud, misrepresentation, or misleading claims
Posting illegal, harmful, or plagiarized content
Selling non-handmade or mass-produced goods
Abusive or harmful behaviour toward buyers, sellers, or staff
Circumventing the platform for direct off-platform deals
Uploading viruses, scripts, or harmful technology
Violating intellectual property rights

 

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on Atlas—including logos, brand elements, design, UI/UX elements, copy, and creative layout—is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Users may not copy, republish, or reproduce any content without permission.

Sellers retain ownership of their original creations but grant Atlas permission to display, market, and promote their listings.


 

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Atlas is not responsible for:

Seller delays
Courier delays
Product quality beyond natural handmade variations
Losses arising from buyer misuse
Incorrect information provided by users

Atlas acts only as a marketplace intermediary between buyers and sellers.


 

11. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

Atlas may suspend or terminate accounts for:

Fraud
Violation of policies
Abusive behaviour
Repeated complaints
Legal or compliance violations

Users may request voluntary account deletion.


 

12. MODIFICATION OF TERMS

Atlas reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes implies acceptance.
